As a registered contractor with New Directions you will be offered the finest contracts available throughout the UK. We can offer you pharmacist jobs with Superdrug, Lloyds Pharmacy, Alliance Boots, Tesco, Rowland’s, Co-op, Asda, Day Lewis and many independents. To this extent we are very proud to announce New Directions is one of a select few agencies used by Alliance Boots, Rowland’s and Tesco as a preferred supplier. This means an exclusive service to candidates registered with us as not all agencies will be in the position to offer you the same extent of bookings! We offer top rates of pay, along with travelling time and accommodation where appropriate.
New Directions Pharmacy offers an initiative service to all registered locum contractors; our highly advanced website permits all candidates to search and apply online for dates / locations they feel are acceptable to them. Please refer to our Bookings Search. All you have to do is enter the dates you are available and then select the areas you are interested then. This will not automatically book you in to the date as the needs of the branch may not match your requirements. Unlike other agencies we always endeavour to match the wishes of our clients to the desires of our candidates. This information is updated online on a weekly basis as a means of informing all contractors of the very latest vacancies.
If the dates & locations we have showing as available do not match your requirements you can always Submit your Availability and your designated Bookings Consultant will work on your exact needs.
An addition to these services: we also have the facility to inform all registered candidates of contracts available via our SMS text messaging service. This has proved a highly effective method of booking and ensures that our candidates are informed of every booking we receive at the earliest opportunity; giving you first refusal.
We will always confirm each booking in writing within 3 hrs of booking; the confirmation you receive will state:
- Full Address and opening hours of the store
- Rate of pay we have negotiated on your behalf
- Mileage allowance (and travelling time where applicable)
- Details of the stores i.e. how many items dispensed each day, support staff, computer systems used & general requirements of the client.
- Accommodation Allowance & details of hotel booked (where applicable)
The client will also receive a mirror copy of the confirmation so all aspects of the booking are covered.

If the contracts we are currently advertising do not match your requirements, please contact the team as we will actively source vacancies that match your wishes.
We are constantly monitoring the quality of our services and stores we supply, to this extent we regularly request our clients and candidates provide us with their feedback.
